The Verse:
He grows colors in his garden.
He grows colors in her heart.
The Vision:
I’m with the same man as in the first vision. This time, I feel like I’ve known him all my life. We’re walking together through a field of gemstones. There’s light everywhere, light that changes color when I step. I’ve never known such happiness.
This particular vision reoccurred on many occasions.
Commentary by Archbishop Co’oal Venesti:
Her Eminence has a vision of her wedding to Ashtara, one of the Holiest days of commemoration, as well as a day of enormous political significance. There is poignant symbolism, of course, in the concept of walking through a field of light, but in this case, the event was literal. The Archon miraculously changed the pebbles paving the walkway into gemstones as a demonstration of his magnificence. The gemstones were allowed to be taken at the end of the three-day celebration by the guests.
Commentary by Elma, High Prophetess of Skarsia:
Miracle? Simple alchemy, of the sort that most any Cu’endhari could accomplish, even Elma’ashra. The only surprising thing is the scale – and that Ailann would so blatantly break taboo with an open generation of wealth. It had nothing to do with religion. He intended, first of all, to impress his wife, and secondly, to impress the populace with the generosity of the ruler. Thank the stars he’s refrained from such excessive gestures since then.
Commentary by Archbishop Seth:
I will defer to Patrick, who has written so eloquently about this matter.
