Well, that’s just great. Elma’ashra knows what’s going on, but I don’t.
The Bhavashti – they are some kind of nau’gsh. The ones that Davy created, the ones that Ailann convinced the Combine to grow at Nightside.
The interrogation seems to be over, at least for now. I missed a good part of it between the encounter with the SongLuminant and that branchback. I don’t know that it matters. Anger’s perspective is something we need to take into account, but it doesn’t seem connected to the larger picture. Unless a piece is missing somewhere.
A lot of pieces are missing. At this point, it might be more efficient for Tara to fill me in. Perhaps if I showed her the list I made, she could insert important events I can’t remember.
Of course, there would be certain things Tara might not know. Perhaps I should talk to Rivers instead.
Tara first, I think. I want to be as well-informed as possible when confronting Rivers. Like Tara, I don’t at all appreciate the idea that he knows something I don’t. I’ll just wait for her to go back to her stateroom.
Oh man, it’s hot.
It’s hot because Tara and Patrick were talking about sex. The mothman is a virgin? What a strange idea. Except…that amrita vision Tara had. The idea that all of the mothmen are alone, contained. Everything they do is motivated by the desire to touch.
My throat chokes up and my eyes sting. It’s important. It’s connected to what happened, to the Bhavashti, to the destiny that Ashtara is trying to achieve.
I understand although perhaps my understanding is that of the smallest twig on the tallest tree. I understand because I want Tara so badly. I understand because I ache to be with my fellow branches.
The two are inextricably connected.
