Biography:
First appears in Perpetual Rose, where he is one of the seven Yggdrasil emanations each designated by a four-letter word. Beat in particular was designed to be a weapon against the Denolin, and to be sacrificed, multiple times if necessary. He emanates in 3617 in the middle of a Denolin attack on Nightside Station. He lives for ten minutes as he battles the Denolin, using his vocalization talent to make the creature manifest in Universe Prime. The Denolin tries to absorb him, but both he and it are vaporized by the Hreck.
Beat forms a bond with Lorcan over their traumatic experience with the Denolin. During Lens’ first pollination, it is discovered that Beat can also use his vocal talents to circulate the pollen around Yggdrasil. Tara meets him for the first time when Sloane takes her inside of the pleroma.
